Maolangou National Forest Park is located in the northeastern part of Heilongjiang Province, at the northern foot of Xiaoxing'an Mountains and Xiangyang Township of Jiayin County, 76 kilometers away from the county town. The West and South are connected with Wuyiling avant-garde farm, the north with Wuyun Town and the East with Heilongjiang Province. The whole forest park covers an area of 60 square kilometers. It is a rare tourist resort for tourism, vacation, scientific research and rock climbing, integrating the beauty of mountains, waters, forests, pools and waterfalls.

Scenic spots include Maolan Falls, Black Dragon Pool, Fairy Pool, Prince Peak, Bear Head Peak, Pigeon Peak, Stone Man, Shipo, Zhentan Stone and Danfeng Spring. Maolangou is the most spectacular natural landscape of Yichun city. It is known as "Jiuzhaigou" in Heilongjiang Province.

Historical evolution

In 1992, Maolangou National Forest Park was built. Maolangou National Forest Park, formerly known as "Cat and Wolf Valley", was named for its deep forest, frequent occurrence of wolves, tigers and leopards, and later renamed "Maolangou" because of its beautiful scenery and homonym of "Cat and Wolf".

In November 2001, Maolangou was approved as a national forest park by the state.

In March 2003, it was approved as a provincial nature reserve.

Rivers

The main river in the park is Maolangou River, which is 16.2 kilometers long. It originates from Wuzi Grand Gang in Xiaoxing'anling Mountains in the west of the park and flows into Heilongjiang Province from southwest to northeast. Influenced by the terrain, many waterfalls and deep pools are formed by falling water.

Landforms

Maolangou is a complex of Geology and geomorphology represented by Indosinian granite tectonic peak forest landform, Quaternary periglacial landform and Neotectonic collapse landform. It is the only one of the most complete, well-developed and well-modeled granite Canyon geological relics found in Xiaoxing'an Mountains at present. It is also a typical representative of Indosinian granite tectonic Canyon geological relics.

Resource situation

Maolangou National Forest Park is located in Xiaoxing'an Mountains, 67 kilometers away from Jiayin County. It has an elevation of more than 400 meters, an average height of nearly 80 meters, a peak of 200 meters and a depth of more than 100 meters. It is one of the most spectacular natural landscapes of Stone Forest Groups.

Development and construction

Infrastructure

Jiangmaolangou National Forest Park always adheres to the construction concept of "keeping the original appearance, without carving", and pays attention to the protection of the original landscape. The main contents of the construction are to build trestle bridges, iron rope handrails around the scenic spots and pavilions, pavilions and towers for visitors to watch and rest, so as to strive for the original appearance and original taste in the construction. Over the past few years, a total of 19.599 million yuan has been invested, hardening roads 2.5 kilometers, installing 8 wide-angle areas; repairing walking paths 5 kilometers; hardening parking lots 11,000 square meters to complete the project of scenic area gates and visitor reception centers with distinctive features; erecting three cable bridges across streams, two aquatic trestles and eight bridges across streams; building and renovating four public toilets; adding fixed and accessible facilities Fifty-six mobile garbage cans; a new water supply system, including 65 meters deep machine wells; a new bonfire pool, an area of 810 square meters. More than 350 pieces of propaganda boards for Forest Science popularization, famous tree brands, plant signs, sightseeing signs and warning signs were produced.

Park Management

According to the principle of "strict protection, unified planning, rational development and sustainable utilization", Maolangou National Forest Park in Heilongjiang Province utilizes the beautiful natural landscape conditions of scenic spots to develop ecological tourism.

(1) Strive to create a national ecological civilization education base, carry out in-depth activities beneficial to people's physical and mental health, promote harmony between man and nature, and vigorously establish and disseminate the concept of ecological civilization.

(2) Planting evergreen seedlings such as Korean pine and spruce on both sides of tourist highways and trails in spring to enhance off-season ornamentality.

(3) Rebuilding some inferior trees in the park, replanting rare greening tree species, improving the landscape quality of forest vegetation in the existing scenic area, improving the landscape recreational value of the forest, and promoting the growth and reproduction of the target tree species.

(4) Strengthen propaganda efforts, update the contents of sub-stations of parks in time on the websites of China Forest Tourism Network and State Forestry Administration, increase the pictures of popular science knowledge propaganda in parks, and enhance the interesting and knowledgeable nature of the websites.

(5) Hold photography competitions to let photographers know the true face of Maolan Valley, stimulate people's interest in nature, and show the beauty of Maolan Valley to the world.

Scenic Spot Tourism

The core area of Maolangou Scenic Area is Maolangou Canyon, which is a tectonic Canyon formed by crustal changes. It extends in the west-northeast direction and is about 2 kilometers long. It originates from the Maolan River in Wuziqi Dagang through the canyon.

Fairy Pool Fracture

The fault strikes northwest and displaces the primary joints in the rocks on both sides, with a distance of about 2 m. Andromeda pool was formed at the intersection of Maolangou fault and Andromeda pool fault. Rocks were easy to be broken and water accumulated to form pools.

Woljianga

The Oroqen nationality is a hunting nation, and its traditional dwelling "immortal pillar" also shows the characteristics of hunting nation. "Immortal Column" is Oroqen, meaning "wooden pole house", which is a simple house built with wooden poles and birch bark or animal skin. It is similar to the American Indian's luxury shelter, easy to open and cover, suitable for hunting life, "Fairy Column" is very simple, in addition to sleeping pads, are necessary for daily life and production.

Stone old woman

Located in the middle reaches of the Maolan River 266.5 Heights, there is a bust halfway up the hillside, which is composed of several natural boulders. Its head, neck and trunk are very distinct, such as artificially carved, and lifelike. The bust is about 40 m high, 35 m in area and 12 m in maximum circumference. The main body of Shilao Dao consists of three rocks, which constitute the head, body and lower part of the old woman respectively. The joints of four groups of rocks form a smooth body curve and image of the head contour after spherical weathering. At the same time, two separated bodies formed by dark mining on the top of the rock are easy to weathering and erosion, forming two pits.

Wild pigeon peak

Located in the middle reaches of Maolan River, between the deep canyons on both sides of Maolan Valley. The relative height is 110 meters. Hundreds of wild pigeons are stationed on the peak, and they are inseparable all the year round. Sometimes they circle around the top of the peak, whistle echoes in the blue sky, sometimes glide in the deep valley streams, in groups looking for food carnival. Black Dragon Pool

Maolan falls

Maolan Waterfall is about 20 meters high and 14 meters wide, with a drop of about 15.1 meters. It is surging in all seasons.
