Guanyin Mountain National Forest Park, Guangdong
Guanyinshan National Forest Park in Guangdong Province is the first National Forest Park in Dongguan City approved by the State Forestry Administration. It is located in Zhangmu Town, Dongguan City. It covers an area of 18 square kilometers and has a forest coverage of over 99%. It is a national AAAAAA scenic spot integrating ecological sightseeing, entertainment, fitness and religious and cultural tourism. It is known as "the holy land of the South Heaven and the secret land of Hundred Guangdong". In October 2006, the United Nations International Cooperation Organization for Ecological Security established Guanyinshan National Forest Park in Guangdong Province as the second "International Ecotourism Demonstration Base" in China.
In November 1999, Huang Ganbo, the current chairman of Guanyin Mountain National Forest Park in Guangdong Province, formally signed a 50-year cooperation agreement with the local government of Zhangmu, and began to rebuild Guanyin Mountain.
In December 2000, Dongguan Municipal Government approved the establishment of Guanyin Mountain Forest Park.
In April 2001, Guanyin Square was completed; in June, the main body was 33 meters high, 10.6 meters wide, and weighed more than 3,300 tons. It was assembled from 999 pieces of 0.5-8 tons of high-quality basalt granite in Putian, Fujian Province. All the processes were completed by hand-carved and lasted 3 years.
In 2002, Guanyinshan and Guangzhou Institute of Geography, Guangdong Academy of Sciences cooperated to build the Museum of Ancient Trees.
On January 11, 2003, the Guanyin Mountain Ancient Tree Museum was officially opened to the outside world. In May, the main entrance building of the park and the International Convention and Exhibition Center were built and opened.
In December 2005, Guanyin Mountain was officially named "Guanyin Mountain National Forest Park of Guangdong Province" with the approval of the State Forestry Administration.
On June 10, 2007, the general plan of Guanyinshan National Forest Park in Guangdong Province was approved. At the end of June, 2009, Guanyinshan National Forest Park in Guangdong Province was selected as the Top 100 Service Industry in Guangdong Province organized by Guangdong Enterprise Federation and Guangdong Entrepreneurs Association.
On December 28, 2009, Guanyinshan National Forest Park in Guangdong won the title of National 4A Scenic Area.
Guangdong Guanyinshan National Forest Park is located in Zhangmu, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the southeast of the Pearl River Delta, east of Dongguan City, the central edge of Zhangmu Town, 1.5 kilometers away from the town center, about 40 kilometers away from Dongguan City, with a total area of 657.18 hectares. The geographic coordinates are 114 degrees 03'45 to 114 degrees 07'30 in the east longitude and 22 degrees 52'30 to 22 degrees 55'00 in the North latitude.
Geology and geomorphology
The highest point of Guanyin Mountain Forest Park is Yaofulling, 566 meters above sea level and 488 meters above sea level. It belongs to hilly and mountainous areas with relatively old geology. Its lithological composition mainly consists of Sinian metamorphic rocks, Yanshanian granite and granite feldspar. The bedrock is mostly sandy shale, and the top of the mountain is mostly bare rock. The famous peaks in the park, such as Guanyin belly, Bijiashan, Baigongping, Dajian and Xiaojianfeng, can all see this remarkable geological feature.
The base rock of the park is mostly metamorphic sandy shale, so the soil type is metamorphic sandy shale lateritic red soil with shallow soil layer and more gravel. Because of the forest cover in the mountainous area and the more litter, the organic matter content in the soil is higher and more fertile.
Located in the south of the Tropic of Cancer, it belongs to the marine monsoon climate zone in the south subtropical zone. It has abundant sunshine, abundant rainfall, small temperature difference amplitude and obvious monsoon. According to the data of Dongguan Meteorological Bureau, there are more northeasterly winds in autumn, winter and spring, and the summer time is 190 days from April 6 to October 10. The main precipitation is concentrated in summer. The lowest temperature is about 5 (?) C, and there is no obvious winter. Usually, very young people have reached below 0 (?) C, and there are very few frozen forests.
The water flow is seasonal mountain streams. It dries up in peacetime. After raining, the runoff can reach 1.5 cubic meters. The maximum flood peak is 10 cubic meters per second. There is no threat of flood peak. The catchment area is basically the surface water of the surrounding mountains. After rainy season, there is no large water accumulation.
The forest coverage rate is 99%. There are more than 1,000 species of plants in the primitive sub-Forest of Xiumao, South Guangdong. There are at least seven species of endangered plants protected by the first, second and third levels of the state. Among them, there are golden camellias protected by the first level of the state, cycads fern, osmanthus, wild camellia, wild longan, etc. in the dinosaur era.
There are 73 families and 199 species of common plants in the park. Among them, 22 species belong to national protection. There are some endangered plants under national protection in the park, including sticky wood, cinnamon, cycad fern, silkworm frost, camellia, wild tea tree and wild longan.
The vegetation is monsoon evergreen broad-leaved forest. The main tree species are Lauraceae, Fagaceae, Moraceae, Camelliaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Rubiaceae, Sapphire and Rutaceae. In addition to the central and southeastern part of the park, there are large areas of natural secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest, the rest of the area is artificial forest, mostly coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest, masson pine forest, Eucalyptus forest, Acacia mangium forest and so on.
There are more than 300 kinds of animals in Guanyin Mountain, including small salamanders like baby fish, pangolins, owls and so on.

Guanyin Mountain Forest Park has built more than 20 scenic spots such as the main gate building, Guanyin Square, the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva, Xiangongling, Puduxi, Thanksgiving Lake, Echo Wall, Yixin Pavilion, Ciyun Pavilion, Ancient Stone Barrier, Ancient Tree Museum, International Convention and Exhibition Center and Xianquan Swimming Hall.
Convention and Exhibition Center
The Exhibition Center is located in Guanyinshan Forest Park, Zhangmushi New Area, with a total area of 50,000 square meters. The indoor exhibition hall has an area of nearly 20,000 square meters and the outdoor exhibition area has an area of nearly 20,000 square meters. It can set up 600 international standard exhibition booths. Its main structure is concise and its supporting facilities, such as conference halls of different types and sizes, multi-functional halls, are the landmarks of Zhangmu wood. Architecture. The exhibition hall stands 33 meters high on the top of Guanyin Mountain Forest Park. The statue of Guanyin in Huawuyan is far away from each other, which constitutes a major cultural landscape in Guanyin Mountain Forest Park.
Museum of Ancient Trees
The International Convention and Exhibition Center has built the first museum of ancient trees in China. It has more than 50 ancient trees of research and ornamental value. From the Yellow Emperor era to the Zhou, Qin, Han, Three Kingdoms, Tang, Song, Ming, and the late Qing Dynasty, ancient trees of all historical periods in China are well collected. In December 2004, the museum was honored as the first batch of "popular science education base" by Dongguan Science and Technology Association, Dongguan Science and Technology Bureau and Dongguan Education Bureau. In 2005, the museum was jointly named "Guangdong Youth Science and Technology Education Base" by Guangdong Science and Technology Department, Guangdong Propaganda Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, Guangdong Education Department, Guangdong Tourism Bureau and Guangdong Science and Technology Association.
